I’ve written an article on BlogHer about the Oscars, pairing menus with each Best Picture Nominee. If you’re visiting for the first time, welcome! You’re welcome to join the rest of us in our Oscar Drinking game post which will appear tomorrow.

Facing the cruelty behind my cooking
I hope you’ll stay awhile. I have an RSS feed. You can follow me on Twitter. I have a Facebook page. I’m sporadically on Pinterest, because I’m convinced it’s a black hole. And if you’re trying to make sense of the crazy you see on this blog, try reading the ‘About’ page on my blog.

It’s just good to see you smile.
That was taken last year. I never waste an opportunity to take a dumb picture of myself.
I’ve been smiling a lot more lately. Still quite a bit of crying, but it’s good to get it out.
That post was just a brilliant post. I have no idea how you were able to come up with menus for each of those movies that were so appropriate, yet so funny. I’m off to read the movie spoiler to Django. There’s no way I’d ever see that movie (too much blood & violence) but I NEED to understand the flaming dessert part.
Lisa – you are just the sweetest. Thank you. And there’s no way in hell I’d watch Django either. You can come over, and we’ll watch Pitch Perfect (which I’ve watched more times than I care to admit).
Well done. I won’t make any of these recipes Sunday because I’m too lazy to do anything this weekend but go to Trader Joes, but obviously I applaud all efforts of making an entire menu out of pie. And it was with my favorite book of all time too (movie was good too, but not my favorite of all time).
I want to have a pie potluck this spring or summer. I insist that you attend.
I will be there, of course.
Whoo-hoo!
